Master Therapist

The second highest honor and status the American Psychotherapy Association can bestow upon a member. Candidates for Fellow status must have achieved advanced standing or recognition in the field of psychotherapy as a result of significant contributions through years of continuous service to their profession.

Diplomate Status

Distinguishes the psychotherapist as having met specific and stringent competency-based requirements in the field of psychotherapy. It is a prestigious, earned designation, demonstrating your superior skills and knowledge among colleagues and the public. Click here for full details.

Life Member

Demonstrates loyalty, support, and dedication to the field of psychotherapy. The one time contribution, entitles you to a lifetime subscription to the Annals, substantial discounts on conference registrations and continuing education and eliminates the annual dues payment required for members. A stepping stone for individuals who desire to be associated with APA. As a member, you have full privileges and access to all benefits and services.
