American Psychotherapy Association Adds Practice Builders to List of Presenters at the 2005 National Conference in San Diego, September 30-October 1
The American Psychotherapy Association (APA) has organized another exciting and educational national conference, which will be held this year in San Diego, California, on September 30 through October 1, 2005. In addition to the many presentations and workshops that this conference will offer to attendees from all across the nation, APA has announced that the Practice Builders will provide a 4-hour presentation covering the four essential elements of marketing a private practice.
The following topics will be covered in the Practice Builders workshop:
• Branding. What it is, what it isn’t, and how to do it without spending a small fortune.
• Internal Marketing. How existing clients can help generate new clients, and how to ensure that existing clients return for future business.
• External Marketing. Why newspaper ads, magazine ads, speaking engagements, and other forms of external marketing may (or may not) be necessary.
• Advertising. When and how to do it, and how to do it ethically and effectively.
Each segment of the Practice Builders workshop will be 45 minutes in length; each of these segments will be followed by a 10-minute “stretch and cell phone” break. There will also be a 20-minute question-and-answer session at the end of the presentation.
Additional topics to be addressed in the workshop include why every practice should have a marketing plan, strategies to attract more of the patients you want to see, how to cultivate referrals from physicians, and how to market your practice without looking desperate. Each attendee will receive a copy of the Practice Builders’ PowerPoint presentation to take with them and use in their own practices.
Dr. Robert O’Block, founder and chief executive officer of APA, is excited that Practice Builders will be taking part in the 2005 National Conference. He and the entire APA staff are proud to work toward providing the nation’s best information and education on practice management for association members; this Practice Builders workshop is just one example of this initiative.
Practice Builders is the nation’s leader in private healthcare practice marketing. Since 1979, Practice Builders has helped thousands of professionals in private practice in every specialty and in every market expand or build strong, thriving practices.
