Austin Recovery provides compassionate and effective drug and alcohol treatment since 1967. We are seeking for a dedicated Director of Programs for our organization.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Quality assurance responsibility to assure compliance with team- and agency-specific policies and procedures and contracts including grant requirements; ensure accuracy of client clinical documentation; oversee quality assurance processes for all clinical programs related to HIPAA, agency P&P; and other licensing entities; oversee the management of quality assurance process related to data entered into the electronic health record (EHR). Collaborate with leadership on quality management and improvement processes to ensure consistency with agency goals and strategic plan as well as ensure outcome study data collection for program evaluation inform improvement processes.
  • Responsible to provide supervision to assigned staff as well as cross-disciplinary clinical supervision related to theory, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, therapeutic modalities, progress notes, and discharge planning for staff providing treatment, family therapy, group therapy, and aftercare services as well as designated Directors, fellows and interns.
  • Direct program planning residential and administration activities, including collaborating with other agency leaders to determine which evidence-based adult clinical services and residential structure to provide; training and implementation of these services; collaborating with other department leaders on budget forecasting and revenue projections and reporting.
  • Contracts & Billing responsibilities include to develop and execute services consistent with contracts for services as negotiated to ensure compliance as well as develop and implement processes to effectively facilitate payer mix and oversee the management of contract and/or grant spend down while delivering best in class client services.
  • Demonstrate, by practice, a comprehensive understanding of Austin Recovery's Code of Conduct and Core Values by presenting her/his best self at work and carrying out work tasks in accordance with both.
  • Perform other related projects as directed by the Director of Operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Clinical Manager, Intensive Outpatient Manager, Director of Family Services, and Director of Residential Services

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Communicate orally with management, co-workers and the public in face-to face, one-to-one, and group settings.
  • Regularly use a telephone for communication.
  • Use office equipment such as computer terminals, copiers, and Fax machines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel & Internet savvy.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree required.
  • LCSW or LPC required
  • 3+ years of cross-disciplinary clinical supervision and training.
  • Experience as Clinical Director (or 3 plus years of clinical leadership) preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Department of State Health Services treatment requirements.
  • Experience providing therapeutic services, especially related to alcohol and drug use, and other compulsive disorders.
  • Experience in behavioral healthcare
  • Strong knowledge and skills in diagnosis
  • Strong knowledge of and experience treating psychiatric disorders Strong knowledge of and experience treating trauma
  • Minimum three years of experience working with a diverse payer mix to include grants, contracts and managed care
  • Experience in contract review, negotiation and writing as well as experience establishing and implementing insurance contracts and billing
  • Experience managing and supervising projects, staff and volunteers providing effective and efficient leadership of staff and teams
  • Ability to create an environment where all staff is accountable for meeting customer service standards and agency goal
  • Experience collaborating with other members of a leadership team
