The American Psychotherapy Association is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the ACFE/APA Joint Annual Meeting. In addition to structured courses and workshops, the meeting will feature abstracts organized in thematic series around fundamental topics and contemporary issues in psychotherapy.
Scientific Paper: 15 minute abstract presentation based on empirical research. One presenter.
Case Report: 30 minute abstract presentation based on an empirically supported case study. One presenter.
Guidelines for Participation Anyone submitting an abstract for consideration must be a member of ACFE or APA and be in good standing. Please do not submit an abstract if your attendance at this meeting is questionable.
Notification of whether or not your abstract has been selected for presentation will be mailed in mid-May. Once an abstract has been accepted, the person who submitted it must participate at the time they are assigned on the program schedule or cancel in writing by September 29, 1999. Abstract presenters may arrange, through the continuing education office, to have their presentation given by another qualified member.
The Conference is unable to provide honoraria or underwrite any travel or hotel expenses incurred by abstract presenters.
Submit and attach a cover sheet with the following information numbered accordingly:
- Member number, name, degree, address, e-mail address, telephone and fax number.
- Specialty area of abstract.
- Title of presentation.
- Type of presentation: Scientific Paper or Case Report
- Level of presentation: Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, All Levels.
- Send a personal biography of up to 100 words.
- Provide a 150-250 word paper or case study abstract.
The Continuing Education Committee (CEC), with its multi disciplinary representation, will select paper and case report abstracts and build them into the program around workshops and courses.
All abstracts proposals are welcome, but the CEC reserves the right to reject, or request revisions of them based on program needs.
