Annals of the American Psychotherapy Association is the official peer-reviewed journal publication of the American Psychotherapy Association (American Psychotherapy Association). The association was formed to enhance the public perception of psychotherapy. The organization was developed to bring together counselors, marriage and family therapists, pastoral counselors, psychiatric nurses, psychiatrists, psychoanalysts, psychologists, social workers and other psychotherapy professionals to provide a reliable, credible forum for ethical and professional standards.

PURPOSE:
American Psychotherapy Association’s purpose for Annals of the American Psychotherapy Association is the continued advancement and recognition of the psychotherapeutic process.

EDITORIAL FOCUS:
Annals of the American Psychotherapy Association contains articles and columns dealing with relationships, ethics, prescription medicines, treatment modalities, trends in psychotherapy and therapeutic tips/techniques. Annals also features book reviews, spotlights on members and association information. American Psychotherapy Association members may complete continuing education (CE) credits by completing tests based on articles in the Annals.

MARKET:
American Psychotherapy Association has approximately 4,600 members, and our membership includes counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, psychoanalysts, nurse psychotherapists, pastoral counselors and all other specialties working in the field of psychotherapy.

CIRCULATION:
The circulation of Annals of the American Psychotherapy Association is over 6,000 with an estimated readership of approximately 7,500.

REQUIREMENTS OF ACCEPTANCE OF ADVERTISING:
Subject to the approval of the Publisher and Editor. Advertising is sold on a first come first serve basis. American Psychotherapy Association reserves the right to refuse any advertising.

Payment is due with insertion order. For multiple ads, payment of one-half must be made with insertion order, balance to be paid in full before final insertion. Current American Psychotherapy Association members receive a 25% discount on all advertising.

AD REQUIREMENTS

REPRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS:
CD right reading, emulsion down, 175-line screen is preferred. Four-color process requires computer to plate, right reading, emulsion down, 175-line screen. A color key or tear sheet proof also must be supplied. Color rotation of computer to plate must be cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Register marks and color must be indicated on each negative and must have undercolor removal.

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION:
Electronic files are accepted via e-mail, CD or 3.5 disk using QuarkXPress, Photoshop or Illustrator software. Files must be in TIFF or EPS format high resolution at 300dpi or higher.
