Conference 2009: Las Vegas, NV - October 14-16
The 2009 conference will be held October 14-16 at the Rio All-Suites Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. The American Psychotherapy Association National Conference will run concurrently with the American College of Forensic Examiners (ACFEI), American Board for Certification in Homeland Security (ABCHS), and the American Association of Integrative Medicine (AAIM) national conferences. Registration with American Psychotherapy Association, ACFEI, ABCHS, or AAIM grants full access to the sessions of all three associations. Additional information on the 2009 conference will be coming soon.
Frank Abagnale to speak at 2009 National Conference
We are excited to announce Frank W. Abagnale will be a featured speaker at the 2009 National Conference. Mr. Abagnale is one of the world's most respected authorities on forgery, embezzlement, and secure documents. For over 30 years, he has worked with, advised and consulted with hundreds of financial institutions, corporations, and government agencies around the world. Featured Presenter - Richard Heaps
Dr. Richard A. Heaps is a Board Certified Clinical Psychologist and Professor at Brigham Young University's Counseling Center and Counseling Psychology Department. He holds Designated Examiner status and professional license as a psychologist in Utah. At his university, he has served as Acting and Associate Director of the Counseling Center, Director of Training for the doctoral Counseling Psychology Program, and Leader of the Counseling Center's Emergency Response Team. Featured Presenter - John Catlett
John F. Catlett, Jr., is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and Board Certified Professional Counselor (BCPC) with training and experience in trauma and bereavement counseling. Mr. Catlett is employed at the Utah Valley University office of Student Health Services and works as an adjunct faculty member in the psychology and social work departments teaching thanatology classes. Mr. Catlett served as a mental health crisis responder and trainer for the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) of Vienna, Virginia during the September 11th terrorist attacks. Mr. Catlett worked in the recovery efforts at Ground Zero in Manhattan, Pennsylvania, and at Liberty Park in New Jersey. Click here for more.
